Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Sign an MoU to Promote Cybersecurity Cooperation

On the sidelines of U.S. President Joe Biden’s visit to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia on July 15-16 2022, the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for Cybersecurity Cooperation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).  

This MoU aims to promote bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity to safeguard the cyberspace and vital interests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America.  

This MoU comes as a continuation to the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in cybersecurity. The MoU focuses on several areas such as sharing cyber threats information between both countries, and exchanging best practices and experiences in this field.    

Through this MoU, both parties recognize the importance of the collective efforts to further enhance their leading position internationally by strengthening integration, and establishing mechanisms for cooperation in order to achieve a safe and reliable cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
