The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has invited the general public to submit feedback on the updated version of the “Saudi Cybersecurity Higher Education Framework (SCyber-Edu)”. The framework reflects NCA’s mandate to establish policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, controls, and guidelines related to cybersecurity in the Kingdom; to build the national cybersecurity workforce; to prepare professional standards and frameworks; and to develop and run professional assessment tests related to cybersecurity.
NCA stated that the updates made to the document included a comprehensive review of the knowledge units in line with the latest trends in the field, the creation of new knowledge units, and the revision of program descriptions to align with the most recent reference standards. New pathways were also introduced to cover existing master’s programs in related disciplines that feature a dedicated cybersecurity track, among other enhancements. These revisions were based on global best practices and internationally recognized standards, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of the framework’s implementation, ensuring it remains comprehensive and effective, guaranteeing academic quality for cybersecurity educational programs, and developing national cyber talent to contribute to strengthening cybersecurity at the national level.
NCA encourages individuals and all relevant stakeholders to review the framework and submit their feedback by Wednesday, 14 August 2026 . Submit feedback through the Public Consultation Platform “Istitlaa” or by completing the feedback form on NCA’s website and sending it to: info@nca.gov.sa .The document is accessible through NCA’s official website.
