The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has continued to implement the »Cybersecurity Fostering Program for Hajj Season 1447 AH«, which aims to raise the cyber readiness of technical systems and services provided during this year’s Hajj season, develop national cybersecurity capabilities, and raise cybersecurity awareness among pilgrims and personnel of national entities, thereby contributing to  the enhancement of cybersecurity during the Hajj season and supporting national efforts to fully harness all available capabilities to provide the best services to pilgrims.

The »Cybersecurity Fostering Program for Hajj Season 1447 AH« is built on four primary tracks: »cyber threat detection and response, cyber risks and assessments, cyber drills, and cybersecurity awareness«. The program also includes the activation of a round-the-clock cyber operations room dedicated to detecting and analyzing cyber threats, and sharing cyber alerts with relevant national entities. As well as registering technical assets, services, and systems associated with the Hajj season through the National Cybersecurity Services Portal (Haseen), and developing plans to support the national entities in carrying out cyber assessments of the technical systems and services provided during the season.

Another key element of the program is the “Cybersecurity Drill for Hajj Season 1447 AH” aimed at developing the skills of cybersecurity professionals within national entities, familiarizing them with the latest cyberattack techniques and providing strategies to handle them so that services can be delivered with the highest standards of quality and efficiency for pilgrims. The program also includes a series of field awareness initiatives to raise cybersecurity awareness among pilgrims and personnel of national entities, such as »cybersecurity awareness sessions for personnel of national entities participating in the Hajj season, interactive cybersecurity awareness exhibition for pilgrims at the Hajj and Umrah halls complex at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, and the distribution of diverse cybersecurity awareness materials in accommodation facilities in the regions of Makkah and Madinah and among Hajj and Umrah service providers«.

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the national reference in all its affairs. It aims to enhance the Kingdom’s cybersecurity posture to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities. NCA is also responsible for establishing, updating, and monitoring compliance with cybersecurity incident response frameworks, in addition to building national specialized capabilities in cybersecurity. These efforts are designed to cultivate a resilient, secure, and trusted Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
