The Authority monitors cyber threats and attacks within the Kingdom's cyberspace, particularly those targeting national entities and critical infrastructure sectors. It prepares cybersecurity alerts and reports and shares them with the relevant entities through its designated communication channels.

Through these efforts, the Authority aims to enhance the readiness of national entities and critical infrastructure sectors, contribute to the protection of their networks, ensure the implementation of necessary security precautions, and reduce the impact of attacks in a timely manner.

Cyber Incident Response

 

The Kingdom’s cyberspace is exposed to cyber risks that may result in incidents with potential economic, financial, or security implications at the national level. The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is responsible for responding to cyber incidents targeting national entities, in addition to regulating and coordinating cybersecurity incident response efforts at the national level. These efforts aim to enhance the Kingdom’s overall incident response capabilities and reduce the impact of such incidents on national assets and critical infrastructure.
