Coinciding with International Cybersecurity Awareness Month The National Cybersecurity Authority launches the national cybersecurity awareness campaign

October 2023, The National Cybersecurity Authority launched the “National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign,” which aims to consolidate the values ​​of preserving national security, raise the level of cybersecurity awareness among all segments of society in the Kingdom, introduce the best practices in protecting society from renewed cyber risks, and achieve joint integration between agencies. National initiative in the field of cybersecurity, and unifying its efforts in this framework, coinciding with the International Cybersecurity Awareness Month, celebrated globally during the month of October every year.

The national campaign for cybersecurity awareness includes a group of initiatives, field events, and specific programs, which include organizing a mobile exhibition for cybersecurity awareness at the headquarters of national agencies. The campaign includes implementing more than 20 awareness sessions for national entities, in addition to providing awareness packages to more than 850 national entities to educate their employees in cybersecurity, it also includes launching an awareness campaign entitled,” in cooperation with national entities from the public and private sectors.

The campaign targets all segments of society and addresses in its topics the definition of the importance of cybersecurity and its vital role in reducing renewed cyber risks, social engineering and electronic phishing methods, the importance of security updates, the necessity of using strong passwords to protect social media accounts and secure them from hacking, and activating the two-factor verification feature and other related topics in the field, which would contribute to enhancing the culture of cybersecurity among all age groups in society.

The National Cybersecurity Authority is the authority responsible for cybersecurity in the Kingdom and the national reference in its affairs.
