
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has implemented the "Cybersecurity Drill for Hajj season 1443 H with the aim of enhancing the cyber readiness of the national authorities participating in the 1443 H Hajj season, developing capabilities in cybersecurity across the government and private sectors and ensuring business continuity during the Hajj season. With the participation of more than 75 organizations and incident response teams in the energy, industrial, financial, health, ICT, human resources, and social development sectors, represented by more than 180 cybersecurity specialists.
The drill created a virtual environment in which simulated cyber threats could be tackled by participants. The ‘Cyber Drill Platform’ is one of the innovative solutions being employed by NCA to face cyber challenges and threats in accordance with the best international standards and practices.
The drill, carried out by NCA in cooperation with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), will increase the ability of authorities to deal with cyber incidents, protect sensitive infrastructure and provide a safe and reliable Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
The National Cyber Security Authority is the competent authority concerned with cybersecurity in KSA. It is the national reference for cybersecurity matters, and aims to protect national security, vital infrastructure, and priority sectors. Through its application of professional standards and tests, and its development of performance measurement indexes and intelligence-driven reports, NCA is building the nation’s cybersecurity capabilities to face the complexities of our connected world.
