
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in cooperation with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), carried out cyber drills in Riyadh, with the participation of a number of information technology and cybersecurity specialists from the government and concerned agencies.
The drills included an evaluation of the capabilities of the authorities to implement procedures and apply controls related to cybersecurity, as well as developing their capabilities to withstand cyber threats. Other drills included an assessment and of authorities’ readiness to deal with and respond to cyber incidents, and reduce the damage resulting from them. The improvements resulting from these drills should support government efforts and protect sensitive infrastructure, as well as enhance the security of KSA’s cyberspace by fostering safe practices for dealing with technology, protecting information, data, and systems for the national authorities of KSA.
These drills come within the framework of the NCA’s drive to enhance integration and cooperation with all national authorities and sectors, raising the level of readiness, build specialized national capacities, and develop skills in the areas of cybersecurity.
