The event took place at the National Cybersecurity Academy in Riyadh.
The event brought together more than 100 university students from various Saudi universities, representing various disciplines related to cybersecurity. The event featured simulations of a range of techniques employed in cyber threats within a competitive virtual environment that promotes creativity and innovation in the cybersecurity sector. The initiative contributes to developing a new generation of promising cybersecurity talent and advancing the Kingdom’s cybersecurity industry.
The challenge comprised a series of diverse competitions covering several cybersecurity topics, including encryption, system analysis, digital forensics, malware analysis, and network security, among others. These competitions were conducted on a specialized platform that was built, hosted, and operated locally in collaboration with NCA’s technical arm, the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE).
The National Cybersecurity Academy serves as a hub for building and qualifying national specialists in cybersecurity, delivering a range of cybersecurity programs and drills, and specialized training courses that meet the needs of the kingdom’s critical sectors, thereby contributing to the enhancement of national cybersecurity.
