The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has launched the sixth edition of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign to raise cybersecurity awareness and foster a strong cybersecurity culture across all segments of society. The campaign aims to reinforce the value of safeguarding national security and promote best practices for maintaining safety in cyberspace, thereby supporting greater integration and collaboration among national entities in raising cybersecurity awareness. This campaign forms part of NCA’s ongoing efforts to empower members of society to strengthen their cybersecurity.

NCA stated that the campaign coincides with Cybersecurity Awareness Month, observed annually in October, and is part of its nationwide awareness initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity awareness across all segments of society. The campaign features a range of specialized events, activities, and programs, most notably the establishment of cybersecurity awareness exhibitions in public venues; the organization of a mobile cybersecurity awareness exhibition at several national entities; and specialized cybersecurity awareness sessions for the leaders and employees of national entities.

The campaign also includes a collection of cybersecurity awareness guides designed to promote safe practices in cyberspace, as well as the distribution of a dedicated awareness toolkit to more than 2,500 national entities. In addition, the campaign introduces an awareness initiative titled “Guard your Cyberspace”, carried out in cooperation with national entities across various sectors. The initiative aims to foster a strong cybersecurity culture among employees of national entities and members of society.

The campaign addresses key cybersecurity topics, including phishing, security tools, two-factor authentication, backups, software updates, parental controls, and password security. It also promotes the “Tahqaq” service, which enables users to safely verify the reliability of shared links before accessing them. These efforts, along with other awareness topics, aim to help protect individuals and society from evolving cybersecurity threats.

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the national reference in all its affairs. It aims to enhance the Kingdom’s cybersecurity posture to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities. NCA undertakes several key responsibilities, including promoting the growth of the cybersecurity sector within the Kingdom and establishing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, regulations, and guidelines related to cybersecurity. These efforts are designed to cultivate a resilient, secure, and trusted Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
