The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has concluded the first cohort of the “Global Summer Research in Cybersecurity” initiative, with the participation of students in cybersecurity and related disciplines. The initiative aims to enable promising research talents in cybersecurity national priority areas, and develop advanced research and innovation skills in the field. This contributes to strengthening cybersecurity knowledge in line with global developments and opening broader horizons for pioneering cybersecurity research and innovation.

During its 10-weeks long program, and in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States, the initiative featured promising research projects in cybersecurity related to artificial intelligence and emerging technological advancements. It also included weekly mentoring sessions and specialized workshops, with the supervision of CMU’s leading researchers and experts.

The “Global Summer Research in Cybersecurity” initiative is part of the “National Program for Research, Development, and Innovation in Cybersecurity” and aligns with NCA’s strategic initiatives to develop the national cybersecurity sector. It offers opportunities to join summer research programs at the world’s leading universities in cybersecurity and contribute to the development of research and innovation projects in the field.
