
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) participates as a Diamond Partner in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2026,” organized by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The Olympiad aims to discover national talents, foster scientific creativity among students, and equip them with research and innovation skills across various areas to represent the Kingdom in international forums with distinguished research projects.
NCA participation in the Olympiad comes as part of its strategic initiatives aimed at developing cybersecurity sector at the national level, which contributes to enhancing scientific output and knowledge exchange, empowering cybersecurity research and innovation ecosystem, building promising national capabilities in the area, and developing advanced research and innovation skills to open broader research horizons and foster pioneering innovations in the sector.
Through NCA’s pavilion at “Ibdaa 2026” exhibition, NCA showcases one of the initiatives of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity held from January 25-28, and its efforts in enabling research, development, and innovation (RDI) ecosystem. It also highlights the initiatives of the “National Program for Research, Development, and Innovation in Cybersecurity,” which aims to enable researchers and innovators in national priority areas in cybersecurity and encourage the growth and attraction of promising cyber research and innovations, including: “Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Pioneer Grants Initiative, Innovation Grants Initiative for Cybersecurity Sector Challenges, Global Summer Research in Cybersecurity Initiative, and Cyber Innovation Bridges Initiative”.
During NCA’s participation in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa 2026,” NCA presented a set of special awards to national talents participating with distinguished research projects, and supervised the judging of qualified research projects in the Olympiad to help cultivate future innovators at the national level.
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and serves as the national authority and reference in all its affairs. NCA aims to improve the cybersecurity posture of the Kingdom in order to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructures, high-priority sectors, and government services and activities.
