The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has invited the general public to submit feedback on the “AI Cybersecurity Guidelines”. The document reflects NCA’s mandate to set cybersecurity policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, controls, and guidelines; disseminate them across entities; monitor compliance therewith; and update them, thereby strengthening cybersecurity at the national level.
NCA explained that the document’s purpose is to ensure the implementation of cybersecurity requirements for AI and to mitigate cybersecurity risks associated with AI technologies and systems. It aims to promote best practices among all entities that currently use, or plan to adopt, AI systems in the Kingdom.
NCA stated that the “AI Cybersecurity Guidelines” are structured around four primary domains: cybersecurity governance, cybersecurity defense, cybersecurity resilience, and third-party cybersecurity. A set of subdomains has been derived from these main domains. The document’s scope includes emerging AI technologies, such as generative AI and agentic AI, and it was developed based on international best practices and experiences in AI cybersecurity.
NCA encourages all relevant stakeholders and interested parties to review the framework and submit their feedback by Tuesday, 5 August 2026. Submit feedback through the Public Consultation Platform “Istitlaa” or by completing the feedback form on NCA’s website and sending it to: info@nca.gov.sa .The document is accessible through NCA’s official website.
