In Collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and the E-Commerce Council, NCA Launches a Campaign to Promote Safe Online Shopping

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and the E-Commerce Council, has launched the "Shop Safely" campaign. This campaign aims to build a strong cybersecurity culture that promotes safe online shopping for consumers and providers of e commerce services. It also encourages them to adopt safe practices in cyberspace, contributing to their protection against evolving cyber threats and strengthening the cybersecurity of e-commerce activities across the Kingdom.
NCA explained that the campaign is part of its national awareness efforts aimed at raising cybersecurity awareness among all segments of society. It includes a set of awareness tracks and activities, such as conducting specialized cybersecurity awareness sessions for consumers and providers of e-commerce services, issuing a cybersecurity awareness guide for secure online shopping, and providing cybersecurity awareness materials across e-commerce platforms. Additionally, an awareness campaign will be launched through the social media accounts of “Aamn” cybersecurity awareness program, titled "Shop Safely," in collaboration with relevant national entities.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and promoting safe cyber behaviors for various age groups in society through educational materials that address topics such as phishing, the importance of enabling protection tools, two-factor authentication, application security, security updates, safe internet browsing, and other topics that contribute to protecting e-commerce consumers from evolving cyber risks.
