NCA Launches Fifth National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has launched the fifth edition of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign, coinciding with the globally recognized Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October. The campaign aims to establish a strong cyber culture that reinforces the values of national security, raises public awareness across all segments of society, and promotes best practices in cyberspace to enhance cybersecurity throughout the Kingdom.

The campaign, part of NCA's initiatives to boost cybersecurity awareness, involves various events and programs, including launching cybersecurity awareness exhibitions in public places, organizing a mobile exhibition for national entities, and holding specialized awareness sessions for both leaders and employees. NCA is also providing a set of cybersecurity awareness guides and issuing an awareness kit for over 1,500 entities to help raise the awareness of their personnel. A key element of this initiative is the launch of the "Guard Your Cyberspace" awareness campaign, conducted in cooperation with national entities across all sectors. This campaign focuses on educating all age groups about safe cybersecurity behaviors through educational materials covering crucial topics such as phishing, the importance of activating cybersecurity tools, two-factor authentication, data backups, installing updates, parental controls, and strong passwords.

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the national reference in all its affairs. It aims to enhance the Kingdom’s cybersecurity posture to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities. NCA undertakes several key responsibilities, including promoting the growth of the cybersecurity sector within the Kingdom, and establishing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, regulations, and guidelines related to cybersecurity. These efforts are designed to cultivate a resilient, secure, and trusted Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
