The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has released the second edition of the "Cybersecurity Awareness Guide," which aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness and cultivate a robust cyber culture among pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah season. This initiative is part of the Cybersecurity Fostering Program for the Hajj Season 1446 AH, implemented by the NCA to support national efforts in providing an integrated and secure experience for pilgrims, adhering to the highest standards of comfort and safety.

The second edition of the guide provides a range of educational materials designed to elevate cybersecurity awareness. It includes updated information on several key areas, such as application security, the importance of security updates, two-factor authentication, the creation of secure passwords, social engineering and phishing tactics and how to avoid them, the necessity of secure web browsing, and the practice of regular backups. These topics are intended to promote secure online practices among pilgrims and increase their overall cybersecurity awareness. The guide stresses the importance of cybersecurity awareness in mitigating cyber risks during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. Available in 16 languages, the guide can be accessed through the Awareness Guides section on the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah website
