NCA Launches the Interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Exhibition for Pilgrims

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has inaugurated the "Interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Exhibition for Pilgrims" at the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport. The exhibition aims to cultivate a strong cybersecurity culture and raise awareness among pilgrims through engaging and interactive methods. This initiative is part of NCA's Cybersecurity Fostering Program for the Hajj Season 1446 AH, implemented to support national efforts in providing an integrated and secure experience for pilgrims, adhering to the highest standards of comfort and safety.

 

NCA stated that the exhibition, held in collaboration with Jeddah Airports Company and running until the sixth of Dhu al-Hijjah, targets pilgrims arriving by air via the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex. It features a variety of multilingual awareness materials, publications, and guidelines specifically designed to raise awareness about cybersecurity. The exhibition will cover fundamental cybersecurity concepts and their role in mitigating emerging cyber risks, emphasize the importance of security updates, and explore topics such as phishing, social engineering, application security, and other relevant issues to foster a strong cybersecurity culture among pilgrims.

 

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is the national entity in charge of cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the national reference in all its affairs. It aims to enhance the Kingdom’s cybersecurity posture to safeguard its vital interests, national security, critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities. NCA undertakes several key responsibilities, including promoting the growth of the cybersecurity sector within the Kingdom, fostering innovation and investment, and establishing policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, regulations, and guidelines related to cybersecurity. These efforts are designed to cultivate a resilient, secure, and trusted Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
