In Cooperation with The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at) and The Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE): The National Cybersecurity Authority Launches the "Cybersecurity Challenge" Program

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monsha’at” represented by Thakaa Center, and the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), launched the “Cybersecurity Challenge” Program. The program aims to support innovation, establish start-up companies, and reinforce the private sectors’ contribution to the Cybersecurity field. The Program is an act of confirming the cybersecurity market and industry development initiative in the Kingdom within the National Cybersecurity Strategy, which aims to support the growth of the cybersecurity sector, and encourage innovation and investment. This will lead us to a safe, secure, and reliable Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity and strengthens the small and medium enterprises’ contribution to the Kingdom’s GDP.
The Program targets emerging companies, national cadres specialized in cybersecurity and related fields, and those interested in entrepreneurship. It provides them with support to adopt and develop their ideas and innovations in several fields, such as incident response, managed cybersecurity services, artificial intelligence, machine learning in cybersecurity, and the protection of 5G networks, industrial systems, and the Internet of Things. As well as other fields, that contribute to the development of the cybersecurity industry in the Kingdom.
This Program is a response to the growing demand for cybersecurity products, services, solutions, and the opportunities available in this field, which is increasingly important because of the expansion of digital transformation and electronic services. As well as filling the need and providing national and safe-designed products and solutions by local capabilities.
In this Program, the winning participants will receive support through empowerment, providing consultations, facilitating procedures. A Total value of three-million Saudi riyals will be provided as financial support to prepare business models and plans, develop products and services, and establish emerging companies to join the cybersecurity market. It is worth noting that this collaboration between the NCA and Monsha'at, represented by Thakaa Center and SITE, is part of the integration and cooperation efforts between national authorities to achieve common goals and contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
