As part of its continuous efforts to raise cybersecurity awareness in the community, SAUDI CERT, in collaboration with the Authority of People with Disability, is launching an awareness campaign targeting people with disabilities to raise awareness on cybersecurity risks.
The campaign was designed in alignment with the needs of people with disabilities; Cybersecurity Awareness videos were available in sign language. The campaign focused on the following key topics: playing safe online, securing credit card information while shopping online, and ensuring safe browsing while learning online. Additionally, the Saudi CERT’s website enabled the “text speech” feature, which supports those with disabilities by reading aloud the text and awareness materials available at the website, without the need for activating any other programs. This step provides an option to listen to the contents of the website (as opposed to reading them) for the benefit of the visually impaired and those who have difficulty reading texts. This campaign also targets deaf people by providing awareness posters and translating all audio and visual materials into text to facilitate reading.
The launch of this campaign is prompted in part by wider accessibility, which now affords disabled people equal opportunity to use technology on a daily basis. The Saudi CERT invites all those interested to visit the campaign’s page through the link:

In alignment with the Saudi CERT’s vision to be a reliable national reference in raising society’s awareness of cybersecurity, the Saudi CERT is working on launching multiple continuous awareness campaigns targeting different key demographics.
